Surge Support Child Care Project

Provider Support REETAIN applications are now available on the www.MNSTREAMS.org Web site for Center- Based child care professionals. The application deadline is January 31st. Applications for family child care professional will be available June 1- July 31st. If you have a degree or a CDA, you may qualify. Check out the Web site for more details. You will now also receive points for leadership roles, such as: mentor, trainer and consultant. This new concept is designed to reward those who promote excellence in the field. The quickest way to improve your score, is through trainings on one topic that are at least 8 hours in length. For a list of on-line trainings offered through Eager-to-Learn, log on to http://etl.mnchildcare.org. For trainings available through the Child Care Resource & Referral system, you can go to www.mnstreams.org. If you have any questions, e-mail lindam@mnchildcare.org or call 651-290-9704 ext. 108. The Minnesota CDA Support Project offers financial support to help defray the cost of paying for the services of an Advisor to come in and observe the candidate working with young children. In addition to the financial support, the project also provides guidance to child care professionals who are working toward their National Child Development Associate Credential.
