Emergency Grants
Who Can Apply?
- Existing licensed family child care providers, licensed centers and school-age care programs experiencing an immediate emergency.
What is an Emergency?
- An occurrence that disrupts a provider/program's immediate ability to provide care for the children enrolled in their program or occurrences that jeopardize the health and safety of the children in their program.
How many emergency grants can I receive?
- Unless you have extremely extenuating circumstances, you are only eligible to receive ONE emergency grant during the biennium (two year funding period).
How Much can I apply for?
- The State sets a limit of $1000 for family child care providers. However, each regional proposal committee sets local limits, (which may be less) based on the funding they are allocated from the state.
How do I apply?
- Emergency Grants are available on July 1 of the first year of the biennium until funds run out.
