Child care providers can get paid up to 15 percent above the maximum rate
Did You Know?
You can be paid up to 15 percent above the maximum rate, if you are serving a child care assistance family and have one or more of the following:
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Child development associate degree
- Diploma in child development from a Minnesota state technical college
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from an accredited college or university
- NAFCC accreditation
- Completion of the Competency Based Training and Assessment Program
If you charge $100 a week for full time care, 15 percent is $780 more per year in additional income. Contact your local child care assistance program to complete the necessary enrollment paperwork and determine if you are eligible.
