NEVER shake a baby or child

Sometimes babies or children just won’t stop crying.

The people taking care of them can get very frustrated.

Sometimes people will shake a young baby or young child to try to get them to stop crying or doing something bad. This is very dangerous!!!

Shaking a baby or toddler, even if it is just a little, can cause brain damage. 

The baby could die, become blind or unable to hear, or suffer other serious injuries that will last the rest of the baby's life.  

There are many other things you can do to stop a baby from crying that are safe.
