What is T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® MINNESOTA?
The T.E.A.C.H. (Teacher Education And Compensation Helps) Early Childhood® Project was developed to upgrade the level of education of those working with young children by making the educational process affordable, increasing wages and reducing turnover. With funds from the federal government and local foundations, the project began in Minnesota in 2002. In Minnesota this project is administered by the Minnesota Child Care Resource & Referral Network (MNCCR&R).
What is the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Scholarship Program?
This scholarship program for family child care providers and child care center staff offers funds to take courses toward an associate or bachelor degree in early childhood education at an accredited college in Minnesota. It is a partnership between the recipient, the sponsoring center (when applicable) and T.E.A.C.H. that helps child care providers improve their skills and receive a financial reward. The scholarship program also increases the availability of quality child care in local communities.
The Minnesota Child Care Resource and Referral Network is a member of the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies and is funded in part by the Minnesota Department of Human Services. |
