About the National Child Development Associate Credential

A National CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) is a credential issued by the Council of Professional Recognition.

Eligibility Requirements for the National CDA

Applicant must :

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have worked with children a minimum of 480 hours within the past 5 years
  • Have earned a high school diploma or GED
